Jennison Jenkins is a California-based attorney with a focus on estate planning and probate law. While her legal practice is rooted in California law, Jennison is honored to join an informative panel at HER Columbia alongside fellow attorneys and judges with expertise in South Carolina law. Together, they bring a well-rounded perspective to how thoughtful estate planning can protect loved ones and help families avoid the complex and often overwhelming probate process.

Jennison earned her J.D. from California Western School of Law and holds dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Iowa in Sport Management and Journalism after spending a year at the University of South Carolina-Columbia in their Broadcast Journalism program. Prior to transitioning into estate planning, she worked in professional athlete representation, where she developed strong skills in advocacy, negotiation, and navigating emotionally complex situations which is experience that now forms her approach to helping families prepare for and manage the unexpected.

Though the laws may vary state to state, Jennison brings an overarching understanding of how trusts, wills, and comprehensive estate plans can empower individuals to make their wishes known and reduce stress for loved ones during life’s most difficult moments. She is grateful to contribute to HER Columbia’s mission of Hope, Empowerment, and Renewal, and to walk alongside other women who are navigating, or preparing for, profound life changes.

Outside of work, Jennison is an avid runner, foodie, beach goer, dog lover, and lifelong Hawkeye AND Gamecock fan who finds strength and joy in community, wellness, and meaningful conversations.
